Position Overview: The Research Associate will join a collaborative team of scientists dedicated to developing therapeutic drug candidates for clinical testing. This role involves significant hands-on laboratory work, including the production and purification of antibodies and related therapeutic proteins. Expertise in cloning, mammalian cell cultures, aseptic techniques, and protein production support through small- and large-scale transient transfection is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cloning (Gibson assembly), Mini, Maxi, Giga preps, and DNA sequence confirmation.
- Support protein production by small- and large-scale transient transfection.
- Perform protein characterization assays, including concentration, endotoxin measurement, SDS-PAGE, and SEC-HPLC.
- Utilize Vi-CELL, Octet, and HPLC for various assays.
- Employ antibodies and other protein purification techniques.
- Operate AKTA instruments for purification processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a research lab environment, preferably including work under sterile conditions.
- Hands-on experience with cloning, mammalian cell cultures, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in protein characterization assays and the use of Vi-CELL, Octet, and HPLC.
- Experience with AKTA instruments and protein purification techniques is preferred.
